Sister taxon: Epophthalmia zotheca
Type specimen: UC Boulder MC 1a, a hindwing (Hindwing). Its type locality is Marshall Creek, Spokane, which is in a Langhian lacustrine - small mudstone in the Latah Formation of Washington.
Ecology: fast-moving volant carnivore-insectivore
Distribution: found only at Marshall Creek, Spokane
