Sister taxa: Cytherellina kutasii, Cytherellina lechria, Cytherellina lucasensis, Cytherellina subquadrata, Cytherellina tanymeka, Cytherellina tyronica

Type specimen: UPMC P6M2864, a carapace. Its type locality is Bálvany North 08BAN63, which is in a Griesbachian carbonate limestone in the Gerennavar Formation of Hungary.

Ecology: epifaunal detritivore-grazer
