Type specimen: UERJ.MC 2, a skeleton. Its type locality is Atol Quarry (=CIMPOR quarry), which is in a Barremian lacustrine deltaic shale in the Coqueiro Seco Formation of Brazil.

Ecology: amphibious omnivore

Distribution: found only at Atol Quarry (=CIMPOR quarry)
