Type specimen: USNM 367869, an other. Its type locality is SCGS 2-42 (20 m) - Aiken Co. Road 14 [Griffins Landing Mbr, Dry Branch Fm], which is in an Eocene coastal claystone in the Dry Branch Formation of Georgia.
