Taxonomy
Corymbospongia permica was named by Senowbari-Daryan (1990). It is not extant. It is the type species of Exaulipora.
It was recombined as Exaulipora permica by Rigby et al. (1998), Rigby and Bell (2006) and Senowbari-Daryan et al. (2007).
