It was corrected as Lepismatidae by Carpenter (1992), Engel (2006) and Staniczek and Bechly (2007).

It was assigned to Thysanoura by Latreille (1802) and Latreille (1804); to Euzygentoma by Engel (2006); and to Zygentoma by Carpenter (1992) and Staniczek and Bechly (2007).
