Talahpithecus parvus
Taxonomy
Talahpithecus parvus was named by Jaeger et al. (2010). Its type specimen is DT1-31, a tooth (left M1 or M2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dor el Talha Idam, which is in a Bartonian/Eocene marine siltstone/sandstone in the Idam Unit Formation of Libya. It is the type species of Talahpithecus.
