Compsodon helmoedi

Taxonomy
Compsodon helmoedi was named by Van Hoepen (1934). Its type specimen is NMQR 1460, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kranskraal, which is in a Wuchiapingian/Changhsingian terrestrial horizon in the Normandien Formation of South Africa. It is the type species of Compsodon.
