It was assigned to Pycnodontiformes by Sepkoski (2002); to Pycnodontidae by Shimada et al. (2006), Bice and Shimada (2016), Maisch et al. (2021); and to Mesturidae by Nursall (1996), Nursall (1999), Poyato-Ariza and Wenz (2002), Allain et al. (2022).
It was assigned to Pycnodontiformes by Sepkoski (2002); to Pycnodontidae by Shimada et al. (2006), Bice and Shimada (2016), Maisch et al. (2021); and to Mesturidae by Nursall (1996), Nursall (1999), Poyato-Ariza and Wenz (2002), Allain et al. (2022).
