Gulo gulo (wolverine)
Taxonomy
Mustela gulo was named by Linnaeus (1758) [Kurten & Anderson 1980 attribute the combination Ursus gulo to Linnaeus, but this is not supported by Anderson 1998 and probably refers to Ursus luscus]. It is extant.
It was recombined as Gulo gulo by Thomas (1911), Hall (1936), Kurten and Rausch (1959), Kurten (1968), Kurten and Anderson (1980), Mead and Mead (1989), Anderson (1998) and Marmi et al. (2004).
