Paleoparadoxia tabatai

Taxonomy
Cornwallius tabatai was named by Tokunaga (1939) [No type specimen number is listed by Reinhart 1959. Domning (1996) notes that the type specimen was destoyed in World War II. Specimen listed is the neotype designated by Shikama (1966). Neotype NSM-PV 5601 according to Hasegawa & Kohno (2007).]. Its type specimen is NSMT-P-5601, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Cornwallius.

It was recombined as Paleoparadoxia tabatai by Reinhart (1959), Ijiri and Kamei (1961), Shikama (1966), Kamei and Okazaki (1974), Domning (1996), Inuzuka et al. (2006), Hasegawa and Kohno (2007), Domning (2008), Matsui and Kawabe (2015), Matsui (2017) and Matsui and Tsuihiji (2019).
