Oriensarctos watasei

Taxonomy
Eumetopias watasei was named by Matsumoto (1925). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Megakura, which is in a Pleistocene marine sandstone in Japan. It is the type species of Oriensarctos.

It was recombined as Oriensarctos watasei by Mitchell (1968), Repenning and Tedford (1977).
