• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Juncal Fm, which unconformably overlies pre-Tertiary gneiss and granitic basement, and is overlain by the Towsley Fm (Pliocene). AGE: late Early Eocene, on the basis of molluscan biostratigraphy. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From near the base of the section.
