When: Shin Brook Formation, Arenigian (477.1 - 468.0 Ma)

Environment/lithology: coastal; lithified, conglomeratic tuff

• 6 meters of beds exposed, consisting of fine- to coarse-grained conglomeratic tuff in graded beds, 12-65 cm thick. Fossils are scattered throughout these beds, but are most abundant in the uppermost exposed layer. Bedding strikes east, dips 80N; cleavage strong, strikes N55E, dips 75W.
