• The authors placed the Falls City LS in the Permian, but more recent data indicates that it was late Carboniferous. Collection comes from the upper limestone bed of the Falls City at this locality.

Environment/lithology: marine; gray limestone

• Limestone, hard, dense, dark-gray, weathers blocky; brown stains on weathered zone; shaly in upper part

•The Noginskian Stage is reported as equivalent to the Virgilian Stage.
