• The Usili Formation (formerly K6 or Kawinga Formation) is considered Late Permian in age (Parrington 1936; Wopfner & Kreuser 1986; Wopfner 2002) and comprises alluvial fan conglomerates at the base followed by playa lake deposits of green and red mudrocks with interbedded fluvial siliciclastics (Wopfner & Markwort 1991).
