Environment/lithology: marine; shelly/skeletal lime mudstone and shelly/skeletal limestone

• Cephalopods current-oriented. Semi-infaunal forms rare. "The environment was shallow water, subtidal; oriented cephalopod shells document stronger current activity, but preservation of the bivalves and cephalopods shows that the bottom was free from stronger wave action."
• "...bivalves preeserved in biomicritic to biodetrital, dark limestone with abundant nektobenthic cephalopod shells..."

Collection methods: Life mode and abundance of bivalves given (table 16.21). Only bivalves explicitly said to occur at type locality, but I have included a few other elements (two trilobite genera) under assumption that they are also present at type locality.
