• The chronology of these fossi1s is not yet determined, but the presence of Desmodus draculae and Diphylla ecaudata in cave strata have led to the assumption of late Pleistocene to earIy Holocene age (MORGANet al. 1988).

• The fossil remains studied were found in a paleosoil in Galeria del Chorro, immediately after the passage Paso del Viento.
