• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Ware Formation, which unconformably overlies the Castilletes Formation (Middle Miocene). AGE: late Pliocene, on the basis of macrofaunal composition and Sr-isotope dating by enterer. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From approximately 461 m in regional section.
