When: Waihao Greensand Formation, Bortonian (42.6 - 39.1 Ma)

• OU 22177 is derived from a hard, calcareous and phosphatic concretionary horizon situated 13 m below

•the glauconitic unconformity; age based on accompanying molluscs

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: marine; concretionary, glauconitic sandstone

• concretionary glauconitic sandstone block (ca. 400 kg) from hard, calcareous and phosphatic concretionary horizon
