• LITHOSTRATIGRAPHY: From the Lomita Marl, which is locally overlain by the Timms Point Silt and San Pedro Sand. AGE: Early Pleistocene in Woodring et al. (1946) and Valentine PhD, but is now regarded as Middle Pleistocene [A. Hendy]. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: Probably from upper 90 feet of Lomita marl penetrated in shaft.
