When: Umm Bab Member (Dammam Formation), Lutetian (47.8 - 41.3 Ma)

• Upper Dammam, Umm Bab n. 22. Subsequently, the Rus and Dammam formations were assigned to the Middle Eocene Lutetian stage based on the pervence of latest Paleocene/Early Eocene planktonic foraminifera in the underlying Umm Er Radhuma Formation (Hasson, 1985; El-Nakhal, 1988). On the basis of the recorded fauna, the age of the Dammam Formation in Qatar was revised to Middle/Late Lutetian age. Hewaidy and Al Saad (1993) assigned the Midra and Dukhan members a Middle Lutetian age and Umm Bab and Abaruq members a Late Lutetian age.
