Environment/lithology: marine; mudstone

• "A very high density of monospecific populations mixed with early and late ontogenetic stages. P. (P.) c. probably formed large clumps on the sea bottom, and was attached to it by byssal threads. P. c. is very rare or absenst in other communities."
• "Bedding plans of dark mudstone covered by disarticulated shells."

Collection methods: Despite distribution, text seems to imply that all faunal elements are found at type locality.
