Mirambueno 4C (Oligocene of Spain)

Also known as MIR 4C

Where: Teruel, Spain (40.8° N, 0.8° W: paleocoordinates 40.6° N, 3.4° W)

• coordinate based on nearby landmark

• local area-level geographic resolution

When: noir? Member (Alcorisa Formation), Late/Upper Oligocene (28.4 - 23.0 Ma)

• a section of beds within which are recognized at least five different faunal zones. The author is supposedly in prep with a strat section and specific locality information (which was un-locatable at time of collection entry). Uncertain about formation name.

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: fluvial-lacustrine

• other nearby localities described as being greenish-white marls covered by red clays, sandstones and conglomerates, all fluvio-lacustrine. Fossils come from marls and clays

Size class: mesofossils

Collection methods: I suspect that the article is not clearly listing all the taxa which come from each locality
