• footprint specimens are from immediately below the Dighton conglomerate, and are "very high Alleghanian if not higher, but below the coarse conglomerates which cap the Rhode Island Coal Measures in all the synclinal axes of the Narragansett area. The beds are higher than those which at Plainville near Wrentham carry very small footprints..." quoted from J. B. Woodworth in Lull 1920.
