When: Jiangjunding Formation (Wangshi Group), Coniacian to Coniacian (89.8 - 83.6 Ma)

• from a specific, but unnamed, level in the middle of the Wangshi formation, originally thought to be Late Cretaceous, but argued in 1995 to be Campanian on biostratigraphic grounds

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: terrestrial; red claystone and gray, green, conglomeratic sandstone

• "red clay intercalating with greenish gray sandstone and conglomerate becomes preponderant"
