Novosergeyevsk Quarry, ? Sergeyevsk Suite. (Pliocene to of Russian Federation)

Also known as Novosergeevsk Quarry

Where: West Siberia, Russian Federation (54.0° N, 86.7° E: paleocoordinates 54.1° N, 86.6° E)

• coordinate estimated from map

When: ? Sergeyevsk Formation, Pliocene to Pliocene (5.3 - 0.0 Ma)

• Although the title of the paper says late Pliocene, in this sequence the base of Pleistocene is taken to be 0.8Ma = Early Middle Pleistocene. So this site is equivalent to the Lower Pleistocene, but the specimen may be earlier, hence Plio/Pleistocene.

•This specimen may have been redeposited, as it is very rounded and may therefore be older than the Sergeyevsk suite.
