• Associated with deposits of the Dniepr ancient terrace. Just below the Brunhes/Matuyama boundary, so very Late Lower Pleistocene, Biharian.

Environment/lithology: fluvial

• In a river terrace. 'The alluvial deposits containing bones are overlain by a thick layer of loesses and buried soils.' p. 137.
• 'alluvial deposits.' Cross bedded sand.
