Where: Banzart, Tunisia (36.9° N, 9.8° E: paleocoordinates 0.1° N, 16.9° E)
• coordinate based on nearby landmark
• small collection-level geographic resolution
When: Ladinian (242.0 - 237.0 Ma)
• Successions have been preserved without statrigraphic disruptions along 'parts of continuous cross-sections' included within the chaotic, evaporite-dominated, formations forming large structures previously interpreted as Triassic diapirs. Triassic series are reconstructed from four principal sections, beginnings at the Lower Ladinian, exceptionally evidenced by ammonites, and reaches up to the Rhaetian dated by benthic foraminifera.
• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution
Environment/lithology: marine; sandstone
Size class: macrofossils
