• Duntroonian local stage = Chattian stage (Late Oligocene).

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: transition zone or lower shoreface; poorly lithified, coarse-grained, shelly/skeletal, gray, green sandstone

• The facies indicate that the deposit was laid down in shallow water at no great distance from the shore, on a gently down sinking platform of low relief.
• Coarse shelly sandstone, easily broken with pick, green-grey when fresh, weathering rusty-brown. Lenses of dark subrounded grit particles are common.
