Where: Paraíba, Brazil (6.7° S, 38.3° W: paleocoordinates 4.2° S, 5.4° W)

• originally thought to be Late Triassic

Environment/lithology: alluvial fan; burrowed, fine-grained, red sandstone and yellow sandstone

• "very coarse and yellowish sandstone with conglomerate beds. The surface of the layers is a finer material, with orange colored surface."
