When: Cercado Formation, Late/Upper Miocene (11.6 - 5.3 Ma)
• The section starts at sea level with claystone and continues for close to 700 ft with alternating claystone, limestones and uncommon sands. At 675-825 ft the section is capped by a limeston. From unknown formation (Possibly Cercado, Gurabo or Mao) at the time of writing. Faunal similarities suggest that this unit is correlated with strata more recently assigned to the Cercadi Fm.
