• Unit A in Ward 1992 (Fig. 17), ~0.3 m of sand. Collection from Windmill Point of St Marys Fm, at the base of the section, and underlies units B-D of the Windmill Point Mbr, St Marys Fm.

Environment/lithology: coastal; unlithified, shelly/skeletal, gray, green, silty sandstone

• Accumulated during a transgression. From open shelf marine conditions.
• Sandy, very fine, silty, dark olive-gray, with mollusks well-preserved and concentrated in pockets on thin beds. Turritella plebeia plebeia especially abundant.
