Where: New Zealand (40.7° S, 172.7° E: paleocoordinates 13.2° N, 166.0° W)
• coordinate based on nearby landmark
• outcrop-level geographic resolution
When: Anthill Black Shale Member (Aorangi Mine Formation), Castlemainian (470.0 - 470.3 Ma)
• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: Derived from Anthill Black Shale Member of Aorangi Mine Fm, which overlies the Malone Mbr (lower and middle Lancefieldian) and is overlain by the Battery Mb (upper Castlemainian and lower Yapeenian). THICKNESS: 150 m in type section. AGE: Zone of I. v. lunatus (upper part), corresponding to the upper part of the member and is hence upper early Castlemannian. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: Presumably upper part of Anthill Black Shale Mbr.
• bed-level stratigraphic resolution
