When: Gas Point Member (Budden Canyon Formation), Turonian (93.9 - 89.8 Ma)

• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From Gas Point Member of the Budden Canyon Formation. Further details published in Saul (1982) and Squires and Saul 2003, 2004). AGE: Early Turonian based on molluscan biostratigraphy. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From sandstone bed in otherwise muddy section.

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: offshore; lithified sandstone and mudstone

• ENVIRONMENT: In general regarded as shallow water, though some units includes assemblages displaced into deeper waters through turbidity currents. Here assigned to a siliciclastic offshore environment on the basis of lithology.
• GENERAL LITHOLOGY: Sandstone bed in mudstone section. LITHIFICATION: Assumed lithified based on figured specimens.
