• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Caloosahatchee Fm, which is in this section overlain by the Fort Thompson Fm (Late Pleistocene). AGE: Assigned to Early Pleistocene (A. Hendy, 2007). STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From Unit 3, a 10 ft thick sandy marl.

Environment/lithology: coastal; unlithified, shelly/skeletal, white, sandy, calcareous marl

• ENVIRONMENT: Shallow marine, siliciclastic.
• SPECIFIC LITHOLOGY: Marl, sandy, calcareous, compact, quartz grains fine to medium, subangular to rounded, cream, very fossiliferous. LITHIFICATION: Poorly-lithified, based on facies description.
