• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Lopez de Bertodano Fm, which is unconformably overlain by the Sobral Fm (Danian). AGE: Early-Late Maastrichtian, on the basis of ammonite biostratigraphy; upper part of the Pachydiscus ootacodensis-P. ultimus zones. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From unknown position in formation.

Environment/lithology: offshore; unlithified, sandy siltstone and lithified, calcareous sandstone

• ENVIRONMENT: Offshore siliciclastic marine setting.
