• LITHOSTRATIGRAPHY: From the Vaqueros Fm, which overlies the the Sespe Fm (Eocene-Miocene). AGE: Early Miocene, presumably on the basis of molluscan and foraminiferal biostratigraphy. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From the Turritella inezana zone in the upper part of the Vaqueros Fm.
