When: Bluewater Creek/Blue Mesa Member (Chinle Formation), Norian (228.0 - 208.5 Ma)

• The Chinle in this area consists of Shinarump, Bluewater Creek, and Blue Mesa Members. The specimen was probably collected from either near the base of the Blue Mesa Member or near the top of the Bluewater Creek Member. Recent radiometric dates (Irmis & Mundil 2008) place all of these strata in the Norian.
