Sister taxa: Eosimias centennicus, Eosimias dawsonae
Type specimen: IVPP V10591, a mandible (right mandibe preserving P4-M2 and roots or alveoli for C1, P2-3, and M3). Its type locality is Shanghuang Quarry, fissure D, which is in an Eocene fissure fill limestone in China.
Ecology: arboreal omnivore
Distribution: found only at Shanghuang Quarry, fissure D
