Sister taxa: Sinosmylites auliensis, Sinosmylites fumosus, Sinosmylites hotgoricus, Sinosmylites karatavicus, Sinosmylites pectinatus

Type specimen: CNU-NEU-NN2011002, an exoskeleton (complete lacewing). Its type locality is Daohugou (CNU 2011 collection), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large shale in the Jiulongshan Formation of China.

Ecology:

Distribution: found only at Daohugou (CNU 2011 collection)
