Belongs to Strombinophos according to W. P. Woodring 1964
Sister taxa: Strombinophos estrellensis, Strombinophos loripanus, Strombinophos maxwelli, Strombinophos mimicus, Strombinophos pedoctus
Type specimen: Its type locality is USGS Loc3742 - Mossyhead [Shoal River Fm], which is in a Serravallian marine marl/sandstone in the Shoal River Formation of Florida.
Ecology: epifaunal carnivore
Distribution:
• Miocene of United States (2: Florida collections)
Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
