Type specimen: SGM RH 71, a tooth (M1 sup. dext.). Its type locality is Jebel Rhassoul, which is in a Miocene terrestrial horizon in Morocco.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore-insectivore
Distribution: found only at Jebel Rhassoul
