Type specimen: SV3-249, a maxilla (Left maxilla with M2 and fragments of M1 and M3). Its type locality is Silveirinha clay pit, which is in an Eocene crevasse splay conglomerate/siliciclastic in the Silveirinha Formation of Portugal.

Ecology: arboreal herbivore

Distribution: found only at Silveirinha clay pit
