Type specimens:

  • Labidosaurikos meachami: OMNH 04331, a skull. Its type locality is 1.5 miles northeast of Crescent, which is in a Kungurian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Hennessey Formation of Oklahoma.
  • Labidosaurikos barkeri: CNHM (FMNH) UR 110, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Locality FA - Pipe Site, which is in a Leonardian pond shale in the Choza Formation of Texas.

Ecology: ground dwelling insectivore-herbivore

Distribution:

• Permian of United States (10: Oklahoma, Texas collections)

Total: 10 collections each including a single occurrence
