Type specimen: R.C. 78, a partial skull (posterior half). Its type locality is New Bethesda Commonage, which is in a Wuchiapingian/Changhsingian terrestrial horizon in the Balfour Formation of South Africa.

Ecology:

Distribution: found only at New Bethesda Commonage
