Haptodus garnettensis Currie 1977 (synapsid)

Suggested syntypes: ROM 29872, disarticulated subadult skeleton; ROM 43602, crushed skull; ROM 43604 disarticulated mature skeleton; ROM 43606, mostly articulated half of a skull (see Laurin 1993). Referred specimens (Fig. 4.14 ‐ 4.16): ROM 30099, hemi‐mandible (see Laurin, 1993, Fig. 10 A, B); CM 71559, skull and clavicle, currently under description (courtesy of D. Berman, Pittsburgh); and tentatively RM 14,156(a), immature skeleton, previous holotype of “Haptodus” garnettensis, assigned as a potential juvenile of Eohaptodus. - (Spindler, 2015)

Sister taxon: Haptodus baylei

Type specimen: RM 14156, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Garnett Quarry, which is in a Missourian fine channel fill mudstone in the Stanton Formation of Kansas.
