Type specimen: BBa2-1 to VI, BBa3-I, IV, VI. VII, XXVII, XXVIII, XXIII, XXXI, XXX, XXXII, a footprint. Its type locality is Lerici, La Spezie, which is in a Carnian fluvial sandstone/claystone in the Montemarcello Formation of Italy.
