Type specimen: CGM 42847, a mandible (right mandible with complete horizontal ramus, damaged symphysis, and posterior angular and coronoid processes missing that preserves right canine through M2). Its type locality is Quarry L-41 (Jebel Qatrani Formation), which is in a Rupelian lacustrine mudstone in the Jebel Qatrani Formation of Egypt.
Ecology: arboreal omnivore
Distribution: found only at Quarry L-41 (Jebel Qatrani Formation)
