Type specimen: IVPP V2466, a maxilla (maxilla fragment with the right P4-M3). Its type locality is Mengjiapo, fossil locality no. 57202, Lushi basin, which is in an Eocene lacustrine marl/siltstone in the Lushi Formation of China.

Ecology: arboreal omnivore

Distribution: found only at Mengjiapo, fossil locality no. 57202, Lushi basin
